My export settings:

They typically work perfectly until I start working with high resolution files. They get converted to CTXR (with the original params), however when trying to load them ingame, the game just hangs.
Converting the newly generated CTXR back to DDS and attempting to open the texture with GIMP/Photoshop/Nvidia just gives this error message:
