Enlightenment Modules Cannot Read/Display .desktop Files from

Moksha modules like the Everything launcher and Startup Applications list are not detecting or displaying applications defined by .desktop files in the standard system directory /usr/share/applications.

This means most installed applications cannot be found or launched using these built-in Moksha features.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Log into Moksha.
2. Install a standard application (if you don't have any).
3. Open the Everything launcher (e.g., Alt + Space).
4. Search for the installed application.

Expected Behavior:

The installed application should appear in the search results and be selectable.

Actual Behavior:

The application does not appear in the search results. The Startup Applications list also does not show applications from /usr/share/applications.

System Information:

• Operating System: Artix Linux
• Moksha Version: 0.4.1-22

What I tried to solve this:

1. Created new enlightenment profile
2. Removed ~/.e
3. Deleted ~/.cache/efreet
4. Copy single .desktop files to diferent paths

This all is very strange. I would suggest a fresh reinstall. I have never had any of these problems nor our users.

Sounds like an efreet issue to me. If you are using AV_Linux moksha iso there is an install shell script called efreetcache that will delete the cache as well as regenerate the icon and desktop efreet data. Try that and reboot or log out and log in.

I'll make a full reinstall then... Which other packages should I remove apart from Moksha?
