Description
Following this issue, #49
Thank you. I understand the examples listed are not urgent. I use Good Old Games (GoG) to play old games, so I don't have modern games as examples, maybe that is why is not urgent to consider in the future? In any case, I appreciate your effort.
Let me try to explain correctly this time. The games are not "delisted" because it was "remove it" from GoG. The games are included in form of a "package" (bundle) into another game. So you have two games (3 or more games) when you buy one.
In the following examples: Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition both of these games include the "original" game and the "enhanced". If I bought IWD:E I will have the original game AND the Enhanced game.
So basically when I choose to play, from GoG Galaxy or Playnite I choose the original game and not a different game (the enhanced). Even if it is not an urgent feature, I hope I was clear this time.
This situation not only happens in these games listed above, it happens in a lot of games that "include" an additional game or games (3 or more). You can open a game from GoGDB and check the "references" tab to take a look what is included (bundle) into the game when you buy it. Here are a couple of examples I have in mind right now: System Shock: Classic Edition, Divinity: Original Sin Classic, DOOM 1, DOOM 2, M.A.X. + M.A.X. 2, Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition include the Diamond Edition and Enhanced Edition as you can notice from the reference tab, some people may prefer to play Diamond instead of Enhanced, and have it include in their game library.
In other words, some games are sold bundled with other games. Maybe a setting can be turned on to enable this "other" games to be search and added into the game library.
Note: Unfortunately, some games might be removed like Duke Nukem 1+2, yet some people may have it or their prefer to use GoG metadata.
If you consider it, you can close this issue.
Thank you
