Hey Mate!

I stumbled upon reddit post post and found out about your app https://insightly.top/ while I was searching for similar tool and it's very neat.
I am just curious why are you using just couple hundred sample data when total number of real reviews for an app are multi-thousands? is it just for a demo purpose with free version or is it because of the limitation of accessing all reviews for an app?

Also do you have feature to integrate/combine Google Play and App Store reviews and do consolidated analysis?
anyways loved your work and hopefully will subscribe soon :)
Please let me know if you have PROMO ;)

hi, glad that you find it useful.

The default review count is 100, and default max history is 3 month, it's chosen because most recent reviews are more interested, but you can customize that by click "show advance options".

If you want to combine reviews from both report, you can try https://insightly.top/competitor-insights, and add apps from both platform there. You can also customize the prompt by click "show advance options". This is just a work around, I think your feature request is reasonable, will find time to work on it.

no promo at the moment. I’m keeping the price stable to reflect the value, especially for people who use it seriously. Might explore discounts later for teams or longer plans.

Also curious, what’s your use case? Are you exploring app ideas, doing competitor research, or something else?

Appreciate you taking the time to explore insightly.top! I’m refining the subscription plan and would love your quick thoughts—what stopped you from signing up? Totally fine if it’s just timing, but any feedback helps a lot.

Hi mate, Sorry for responding late!
Thanks again for getting back to me.
I was doing some research on finding the user pain points and gaps of most successful apps for example: Forest so that I could make better version of that app by addressing the user's pain points and gaps.

I agree with your reasoning of analyzing the reviews from last 3 months because those are the most relevant reviews and older reviews might have been addressed by the developer.
To answer your question, why did I not sign up, Your app is too good to get the analysis report without even signing up :P

I normally use Claude Code for research and combined with your report as well. Thanks a lot for your work again.

Haha, fair point on the free report 😄. I’m glad it’s been useful for your research!

I’m thinking about adding features that go beyond what’s in the free version.

Curious—if you could get one extra insight instantly from the tool that would save you the most time, what would it be? That’ll help me make sure the paid version is worth it.

Regarding the insight, I think it would depend who is your targeted user and who are your competitors.
One thing what I noticed is "Opportunity for Startup ideas" is based off of that particular app only right?
but then we have to another level of research to figure out who are the competitors of that specific app and come up with user pain points and gaps.
Then the consolidated version of current app in question + it's parallel competitors' pain points and gap would give us the comprehensive underserved niches (use cases)
we have to go***

That’s a really sharp observation, right now the “Opportunity” section is indeed based on one app at a time.

I’ve been thinking about exactly what you mentioned: automatically finding competitors, combining their reviews with the original app’s, and surfacing the top underserved niches across the whole category. It’s a bit more complex to build, but I can see how it would save a lot of manual work.

I’ll make it a priority for the paid tier, since it’s the kind of insight you can’t really get for free without a lot of effort.
