1.6 Faction Generation Bug / Per-DLC Breakdown #4

Abstract

So, I decided to do some semi-in-depth testing for the 1.6 faction generation bug, as I'm still experiencing it on MSE2 4.13.1
If there's anything else more specific you'd want me to look into, just let me know! Discord is probably the easiest place to get a hold of me quickly - I'm @kd8lvt in the RimWorld discord, just shoot me a message request and I'll accept it as long as I share a server with you :)

Procedure

I've started by doing a simple per-DLC worldgen test, loading each one individually and simply testing faction generation. If it succeeds up to the point that the factions all have multiple bases, I assumed it was all good and continued to the next DLC. Otherwise I wrote down any oddities with the map. I also copied my logs for each run (regardless of whether or not faction generation failed) for posterity.

Here's a gist with all my logs and notes: https://gist.github.com/kd8lvt/6a7f7a0d01941090d0dbecacc655b808

TL;DR

  • Odyssey isn't the only incompatibility, it looks like Royalty is also being a royal pain (badum-tss~)
  • All other DLC (and Core on its own) are no longer affected, though I don't know if they even were in the first place

(edit: I hate markdown requiring a double-space to render a newline...)
