For example, `keeper find-password | pbcopy` would capture login messages along with the password. Changed all non-data print() calls to use logging (info/warning/error) which routes to stderr. In batch mode the log level is WARNING, so info-level messages are automatically suppressed while errors and warnings remain visible on stderr without polluting stdout. Also fixed alias help text: running `find-password -h` now correctly shows `usage: find-password` instead of `usage: clipboard-copy` by setting parser.prog to the alias name in execute_args(). --- keepercommander/__main__.py | 36 +++++++-------- keepercommander/cli.py | 10 ++--- keepercommander/commands/base.py | 4 ++ keepercommander/commands/utils.py | 74 +++++++++++++++---------------- keepercommander/display.py | 59 ++++++++++++------------ keepercommander/loginv3.py | 10 ++--- keepercommander/versioning.py | 2 +- 7 files changed, 100 insertions(+), 95 deletions(-) diff --git a/keepercommander/__main__.py b/keepercommander/__main__.py index 54691109d..d2f454b2b 100644 --- a/keepercommander/__main__.py +++ b/keepercommander/__main__.py @@ -335,13 +335,13 @@ def main(from_package=False): params.server = resolved_server else: # Show error and valid options - This broke --report-type vault (which needs the full sharing graph) and understated summary-report total_items. Fix: add needs_full_sharing_data flag to BaseComplianceReportCommand that bypasses data-level user_filter while preserving report-level filtering. Applied to record-access-report and summary-report. Also fix a pre-existing bug where last_aging_refreshed was updated without actually fetching aging data (empty rec_ids on cold cache). Add A/B test harness (tests/compliance/) with field-level JSON diff, Windows/MSYS compatibility, auto-discovery, and KC-1142 regression tests. --- keepercommander/commands/compliance.py | 29 +-- tests/compliance/diff.py | 213 ++++++++++++++++++ .../{compliance_test.sh => compliance/run.sh} | 130 +++++------ .../test.batch} | 35 +-- .../test.env.example} | 0 5 files changed, 305 insertions(+), 102 deletions(-) create mode 100644 tests/compliance/diff.py rename tests/{compliance_test.sh => compliance/run.sh} (72%) rename tests/{compliance_test.batch => compliance/test.batch} (70%) rename tests/{compliance_test.env.example => compliance/test.env.example} (100%) diff --git a/keepercommander/commands/compliance.py b/keepercommander/commands/compliance.py index 9ed77f17c..ffbff8930 100644 --- a/keepercommander/commands/compliance.py +++ b/keepercommander/commands/compliance.py @@ -315,12 +315,13 @@ def validate(self, params): # type: (KeeperParams) -> None class BaseComplianceReportCommand(EnterpriseCommand): - Users running commands like `keeper find-password` saw bare "Selection:" prompts with no menu options visible. Changed all interactive auth UI in console_ui.py and loginv3.py to use print(file=sys.stderr) which is always visible regardless of log level while still keeping output off stdout for clean piping. Also suppress "Successfully authenticated with Persistent Login" in batch mode since it adds noise to every one-shot command when the user has persistent login enabled. --- keepercommander/auth/console_ui.py | 112 +++++++++++++++-------------- keepercommander/commands/utils.py | 6 +- keepercommander/loginv3.py | 52 +++++++------- 3 files changed, 89 insertions(+), 81 deletions(-) diff --git a/keepercommander/auth/console_ui.py b/keepercommander/auth/console_ui.py index 0145d10b1..0a60b077b 100644 --- a/keepercommander/auth/console_ui.py +++ b/keepercommander/auth/console_ui.py @@ -3,6 +3,7 @@ import logging import pyperclip import re +import sys import webbrowser from typing import Optional, List @@ -12,6 +13,11 @@ from ..error import KeeperApiError +def _stderr(msg=''): + """Print interactive prompt text to stderr so it's always visible and never pollutes stdout.""" + print(msg, file=sys.stderr) + + class ConsoleLoginUi(login_steps.LoginUi): def __init__(self): self._show_device_approval_help = True @@ -23,38 +29,38 @@ def __init__(self): def on_device_approval(self, step): if self._show_device_approval_help: - logging.info(f"\n{Fore.YELLOW}Device Approval Required{Fore.RESET}\n") - logging.info(f"{Fore.CYAN}Select an approval method:{Fore.RESET}") - logging.info(f" {Fore.GREEN}1{Fore.RESET}.
