D2Stats under Ubuntu (Wine)

I am trying to run the program (version 3.11.0) in Ubuntu 18.04 with wine 4.0.2
The application starts well but when run diablo 2 it say "Failed too many times in a row".
The log are:
[UpdateHandle] Couldn't open Diablo II memory handle. (error: 3; extended: 0)

First question: is it possible to run the windows version of D2Stats with wine? What libraries should I install?
Second question: is it possible for a non-developer person like me to compile a version for ubuntu from your tar.gz source code?

I have made a loader specifically for launching D2Stats under wine. Despite the name it is compatible with mods other than Median Xl Sigma.
