Looks like a property color_mode needs to be added to the GoveeLightEntity object.

After the latest update to Home Assistant (2026.3.0), this integration now officially breaks light entities. Switching on/off does not work anymore.

Same issue here. Updated to 2026.3.0, and the lights are not working anymore.

I've fixed it by updating the light.py file (config\custom_components\govee\light.py) to add a new property for the color mode.
Search and replace the following:

    @property
    def _state(self):
        """Lights internal state."""
        return self._device  # self._hub.state(self._device)

by

    @property
    def _state(self):
        """Lights internal state."""
        return self._device  # self._hub.state(self._device)

    @property
    def color_mode(self) -> ColorMode:
        """Return the current color mode."""
        if self._device.support_color and self._device.color:
            return ColorMode.HS
        if self._device.support_color_tem and self._device.color_temp:
            return ColorMode.COLOR_TEMP
        if self._device.support_brightness:
            return ColorMode.BRIGHTNESS
        return ColorMode.ONOFF

Restart Home Assistant and the issue should be fixed.
