For long term use of peltier elements driven by PWM a LC filter to smooth out the voltage is needed. This reduces the internal stress in the module and therefore prolongs the lifetime.
A suitable LC filter could consist out of a 22uH inductor and a 100uF capacitor.
As a work around this was added externally at the moment. It should be added to the board in future revisions.
