Remove say spam?

Would it be possible to reduce the amount of SAY spam for bots? Some server owners don't particularly care for it.

Perhaps an addon window for displaying "SendAddonMessage" may be better for tracking some of the things for /say ?

if you mean the smalltalk of the Bots when you bring them online.
The "say"-Messages like "Hello", "How are you", "Nice Joke" and so on.
No I can not do that, that is Stuff which happends on the other side, in the "Mod-Playerbot".

Maybe there is a Server-Side-Config-Option to disable it.

Hello Plaza1,

If you mean the "say"-Meesages of MultiBot.
Stuff like "I dont have a Target.", "The classes do not match.", "I couldnt identify the Spell." and so on.

That "say" Messages are Feedback for the User.
They appear everytime MultiBot makes Stuff in the Background or having trouble.
They should be a visual confirmation for the execution of the required action or inform the User about the Problems.
Only with "say"-Channel the Character gives a visual output to the screen.
I mean the speech bubble with visual output.

Just giving out the information in the chat will not be enough.
Because most Players nowadays don't even pay attention to the Chat anymore.
Many Players use Teamspeak or Discord voice chats to play together.

Another Reason for this is the amount of information the Bots provide.
Some actions result in the personal Chat being flooded with Bot-Informations.
If an important Feedback-Message were to appear there, the User would overlook it.

That is why I use the "say"-Channel.

I assume he means the spam when adding bots to a group. For each bot the addon says publicly "Asked ... for Combat-Strategies" and "Asked ... for Non-Combat-Strategies."

I just started using your addon, I've used UnBot before, and I'm also wondering why this is even necessary. I'm not really interested what the CO and NC strategies of each bot is, especially not when I add them (via addclass) to my group / raid. When you add 39 bots to your group via macros, the say-spam is immense.

Yea this is mostly what I'm referring to.

Using /say in combat is probably fine, but it's quite noisy when all your bots come online in a city.

I do want to see it. But not in /say. I would prefer the strategy spam to go to /whisper
