Hi, pls, how to install bonesi on linux, the link for the file download is not working

Hey, I'm having some problems with the installation, after issuing the command make, I get this error:

configure.ac:13: error: required file './compile' not found
configure.ac:13: 'automake --add-missing' can install 'compile'
Makefile:289: recipe for target 'Makefile.in' failed
make: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1

Is this file needed because I can't find it, is there any workaround? I'm using Debian 8.

Edit: now it works, used the command autoreconf -f -i and then make, with no problems.

To install:

First install these libraries:
libpcap-dev (Debian systems) or libpcap-devel (CentOS / RHEL systems)
libnet-dev (Debian systems) or libnet-devel (CentOS / RHEL systems)
autoconf
automake
gcc
git
make

Then issue:
git clone https://github.com/Markus-Go/bonesi.git /opt/BoNeSi
cd /opt/BoNeSi
autoreconf -f -i
make
make install

Yes, thanks for pointing this out deltasecurity!

In case the "compile" script is missing, you should perform a
$ automake --add-missing

In case there are different automake versions (not in this case but maybe on newer systems), you should regenerate the Make file using:
$ aclocal
$ autoconf
$ automake

You even need to install libnet1-dev as it was giving a dependency error of "libnet" while using command make.
So, add this :
sudo apt-get install libnet1-dev

In Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, I found this work for me.

First install some compiling tools (using apt install)
build-essential
libpcap-dev
libnet1-dev
autoconf
automake
gcc
git
make

Then run the command like below:
git clone https://github.com/Markus-Go/bonesi.git
autoreconf -f -i
./configure
make
make install

Hello,
simply install the header files (-dev) for the library the configure script complains about. Typical candidates are libpcap-dev and libnet1-dev.

you need root privileges to install the compiled tool systemwide.

I think I had this issue, and I fixed it by running automake with some arguments.
