Invoking F9 menu removes selected file's highlight

Is this issue reproducible using the latest version of Midnight Commander?

How to reproduce

Move the cursor to a certain file with Up / Down arrows on the panel. Press F9.

Expected behavior

The selected file should remain highlighted. Many of the File menu's entries operate on that file, it's useful to see (even if partially covered by this menu) which file it is.

Actual behavior

Highlight is gone.

Additional context

F1-F2, F5-F8 keep that file highlighted (even though it's useless for F1 and perhaps even for F7).

I think it is not possible in the current design. File panel and main menu are widgets in the same dialog filemanager. When menu gets focused, active panel gets unfocused, When panel gets unfocused, current item is unselected.

Okay, let's just keep it around as a long-term bigger refactoring todo item. Or please close if you think it won't be worth it.
