RGBWIC govee strip (H6672)

I dont know much about coding here but it seems that after syncing my h6672 successfully in the GUI, the monitor sync test works fine but nothing happens when I tell it to start monitor syncing

No worries at all. However, to better understand your issues there are a few questions that could help.

• What kind of OS are you running?
• Are there an error messages of any kind?

I think I understand that Lumisync outputs 3 or 4 channel messages (RGB, RGBW, and RGBIC) H6672 is 5 channel RGBWIC.
it seems to be able to send the LED Monitor Sync Test commands fine but something fails when it comes to actually monitoring, or executing the command of what it "sees" on the screen

Thanks for the information. I am not sure if the 5 channel information is something that is planned to be implemented in the future @Minlor ?

I think implementing the 5th channel itself shouldn't be too hard, but I sadly don't have any device I could test it with. I could try and @kalebh116 you could check if it works afterwards? I am, however, also not sure how soon I will be able to get to this

It's confusing that the "Monitor Sync Test" sends colors to the strip just fine but then nothing happens when actually telling it to sync with the monitor. However it sends to to the strip for the test, potentially could work if it used the same format for the monitor sync? I don't code anything aside from HTML so forgive my ignorance. Not really planned but could be implemented, sadly I'm not in the ability to test it out since I don't have any Govee lights which have 5 channels nor can I order them since Govee doesn't ship to the country in which I live in 🥲 But in general I don't think that should be the issue could be something related to the actual capture of the monitor content

Hmm, the format should be exactly the same from what I remember at least with the tests and the thing which sets up the leds itself but I can still take a look to some extent when I get free time but it's most likely it not being able to fetch the contents of your monitor for some reason? Also Did you use the GUI Monitor Sync or the CLI one? 🤔

I didnt change anything with the settings. I'll have to get back to you, but I'm just using one monitor plugged into my pc. I dont recall seeing a settings menu for it but I also maybe didnt look too hard.

I am using it through the GUI, not from option 1 or 2
