Replace direct calls to docker with direct calls to objects generated by the orchestration backend factories

Expected Product

DMOD should be able to connect to a configurable orchestration backend. The code that connects to the backend should not have a strong opinion as to what it is communicating with.

Unit tests should be written to confirm this functionality.
