local web service errors

on the latest stable build (20211004), with local web service enabled, when i go to http://127.0.0.1:17580/sgv.json in chrome on the same phone xdrip+ is running on, most of the time it returns error response empty or reports a webservice error.... if i go back to build 20210308 or if i use the latest nightly build (20211123) it works every time (several other builds between 0308 and 1004 are also broken).

is the stable build going to be updated soon?

I just checked this on an Android 8 phone.
It works fine with the October 4, 2021 release as well for me.

This is kind of new to me. I have no experience with the local web service.
Are you sure this is not just a coincidence of entering an incorrect address?
If you are 100% sure, it may help if you can identify two consecutive releases of xDrip where one fails and the other works. Then, I can see what the difference is between the two releases.

yes i didn't change the settings between installing the different versions. i can go thru the releases between 1004 and 1123 and see where it stopped failing, will let you know, will also paste the error i see at the last version that failed.

Are you saying you are getting an xDrip error? Are those xDrip logs?

It's the error in chrome when I try to load from sgv.json.

It happens on 1123 as well, but I notice that sometimes it works fine, even on 1004. So it may be something in the data it loaded from nightscout.

We have discussions now opened in the main repository:

I am looking for a way to transfer the open discussions from here to there. But, I'm not sure I'll succeed. In that case, it may be easier to open new discussions there.
