Description
Brief description
We request to update the pgAdmin 4 Docker image to version v9.2.
WHY: The new version delivers important UI improvements, performance optimizations, and security patches that enhance the PostgreSQL administration experience.
PURPOSE: Maintain a modern, secure, and efficient database management interface compatible with the latest PostgreSQL features and workflows.
Proposed solution
Update the pgAdmin 4 Docker image tag to v9.2 in the container deployment config.
Alternative solutions
Remaining on an older version risks incompatibility with recent PostgreSQL releases and potential exposure to known vulnerabilities. Patch management in this context is not practical compared to full version updates.
Additional context
pgAdmin 4 is the primary GUI for PostgreSQL database administration.
Version 9.2 includes improved browser compatibility, enhanced security mechanisms, and better support for multi-database setups. Keeping it up to date ensures a smoother experience for DBAs and developers alike.
