Description
Occasionally, due to electrical malfunctions or similar problems, some services can enter an "inactive" state. In these situations, we must restart the services using the CLI. This process is inconvenient and time-consuming. It would be much more practical to have an option available directly in the interface.
The purpose is to simplify and speed up routine maintenance and troubleshooting by allowing administrators to quickly restart a specific module instance (e.g., nethvoice1) directly from the NethServer web interface, without affecting other instances or requiring SSH access.
Proposed solution
The idea is to add a button in the NethServer interface that allows the restart of a single application instance (e.g., nethvoice1), without affecting other instances.
Restarting a single application instance is highly useful: for example, if nethvoice1 is experiencing problems (e.g., the Tancredi or NethCTI module is blocked), a simple restart could resolve the issue in most cases.
Alternative solutions
- Manual restart of services or containers via SSH (requires technical expertise and access, and is inconvenient).
- Restarting individual containers (often ineffective due to dependencies).
