Subscription automatic updates opt-out and email updates summary #7934
Description
Allow user to disable automatic updates from the UI. Currently, a Redis key controls this; exposing it in the UI would ease access. This enables user to comply with CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) recommendation, giving more control on update timing, supporting managed scenarios (e.g., NethVoice production).
Proposed solution
- Add a UI switch for disabling (opt-out) auto updates, next to the subscription/update settings.
- Provide email notifications: summary of performed automatic updates for subscription, or a weekly summary of available updates for community users.
Alternative solutions
Manual Redis key switch. Window scheduling for updates.
