Can't seem to find a device and prompts for novacom reinstall on Fedora linux

I recently reformatted my old HP TP and keep getting stuck here. Novacom is installed and ran webOS doctor on same machine.

Did you install novacomd from within WOSQI? That’s not working on Linux yet. Try building and installing my fork into your path and running WOSQI again. 4.8 should improve this. https://github.com/NotAlexNoyle

Thanks. It's installed from the default repos of Fedora's package manager. How would I build and install from your fork as mentioned?
