OAAB_Data Release 2.4.0

This update is chock-full of new assets made by DimNussens along with a few other things. Anyone making a common-style interior will have many new assets to choose from with this update. I hope to bring in more of Dim's assets in a future update, but I didn't want to sit on this any longer.

Additions

New desks

R-Zero cleaned up and animated a couple desks for this update. The Dunmer-style desk was originally made by me for the Leeches mod. The common desk was made by DimNussen's. The first of many of his meshes we'll showcase in this post.

Curtains

OAAB_Data already has some Dunmer-style curtains. This update adds common curtains in several colors with grid snappable rods and hooks. Check them out in the OAAB_Clutter cell.

In addition to the curtains, the new textures have been used to create a few rich rolls of fabric which can be used for decoration.

Inverted Velothi Rooms

This is an old resource by DonnerGott which I cleaned up a little and posted here. A bit of history: I'm the one who originally showed DG how to use Nifskope to invert meshes at the Great House Fliggerty website. So it's cool to see it finally being brought into OAAB_Data. This is a simple addition, but useful in adding some variation to Velothi interiors.

Common furniture

Thanks to Dim, we have several neat new furniture additions for the common set. A cot, along with a folded version of the cot and vanilla chair; a bag container based on the common robe, a pew for Imperial Cult shrines, and a plain loft bed.

Bamboo cages

Evolving from a discussion about adding wooden cages, Dim created this wonderful set of bamboo cages. This goes along great with the vanilla bamboo assets like the guar cart. There are large and small versions. The large cage comes with an open version and a fitting door.

Dunmer lace

Another one of DimNussen's wonderful creations. I took the model and idea from Dim and made variants for all of the Great Houses. Including House Dres and Indoril.

Khajiit male hairs

This selection of Dim's new Khajiit hairstyles are a welcome addition to the character customization options in OAAB_Data!

Hanging hammocks with rugs

In a previous update, we added the rugged hammocks that I made for Lyithdonea. Dim has taken those rugs and added them to hanging versions of the hammocks for greater flexibility in how they can be used for cozy interiors.

Towels

Dim made some new towels for the bath shop update being made by Lucevar and they both offered them to OAAB_Data. I cleaned up the models a little and generated some new textures with Midjourney to provide some decent variation for color coordination in common-style interiors.

Silver teapot

A small but incredible addition for interior designers is the new silver teapot by Dim.

Animal bones

In this update, the old guar skull model (which was simply an upscaled Argonian skull) is being replaced by an improved version which was added to Tamriel_Data recently. The new model takes up a very similar footprint and I expect there should be no issues with existing mods that use it. I also created separate jaw and skull pieces for more options.

Secondly, we were offered a wonderful alit skeleton created by Asylum for Tamriel_Data (they plan to keep the alit as a Vvardenfell-exclusive creature). I cleaned up the model a bit and created several corpse objects from it. In addition, I made an undead version of the alit known as the "Bone Alit".

Imperial half wall

A simple, but useful new asset is a half width version of the Imperial fort wall created by R-Zero at the request of RandomPal.
