edi_webservice_oca vs edi_endpoint_oca?

While considering whether to use this framework, I can't seem to find digestible docs or examples about edi_webservice_oca and edi_endpoint_oca.

The use case is relatively simple: interchange a set of JSON files through an HTTPS endpoint. We should contact the other party, and they should contact us in reply.

Which one of the backends should we use for such kind of communication? What's the difference between them?
