Problems With odoo.sh

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has successfully installed a module on Odoo.sh that requires PostgreSQL extensions (like PostGIS or similar). I'm currently facing an issue because Odoo.sh doesn't allow the installation of custom PostgreSQL extensions, which my module depends on.

I'm exploring possible workarounds — for example, creating a custom module that connects to an external database where the required extension is installed. However, before diving into that, I wanted to ask if anyone has found an alternative solution that works within the limitations of Odoo.sh.

Any tips or experiences would be really appreciated!

I'd really doubt you'll be able to do anything with the Odoo.sh database since it's running as a shared cluster between every client. Maybe if you go with the dedicated hosting plan that allows direct access to the DB? Even then, I'd be surprised.
