Hi,
im new to OCR4all and LAREX and was using it to recognize an old mathematics book. I get great results for the text but recognizing equations & formulas is still a problem, in particular nonlinear (2D) notation like fractions, subscripts and superscripts. Marking all these parts in Larex manually as "mathematics" would be to much work, so I was wondering if one can train LAREX to recognize the math parts. (In most books math is typset in another font than the running text). My hope is that I could then use another OCR tool (like mathpix.com) to recognize the mathematics in a semi-automated way.
Best Michael
