Have a look at the API, you can import playlists with the songs metadata and create local copies of the playlists.

As suggested by @gnarula, We were planning to create metadata using MusicBrainz Picard or Beets which uses several API's including MusicBrainz itself. We will also try using Spotify API, if that is better.
