todolist checkbox not working as expected

todolist checkbox not showing as expected like zettlr (the third column), and the dot ahead of the list line is not rendered as expected either:

Thanks for reporting this! I can confirm the issue.

Root Cause: In the current WYSIWYG/Rendered view, task lists (- [ ] and - [x]) are being rendered as plain ASCII text ([ ] and [x]) rather than actual checkbox UI elements. This is why you're seeing them as text instead of rendered checkboxes like in Zettlr. Additionally, the bullet point markers are appearing when they should be hidden for task lists.

Fix for v0.2.7: We'll update the task list rendering to use proper checkbox widgets instead of text markers, and ensure bullet points are properly suppressed for task list items.

The HTML export already renders task lists correctly with proper elements - we need to bring that same rendering quality to the live preview.
