[Fix Request] The Clockmaker's Curse

Outline (≤300 words):
A young apprentice discovers her mentor's clock tower is cursed to chime forever unless the main spring is replaced. She searches for the spring across the city, but her journey stalls as she spends days arguing with shopkeepers. She returns to find the tower worse than before.

Intended genre/tone:
Steampunk / light mystery

Feels like the middle drags and the stakes never really rise.
