Can I suggest as well that you should consider including 6-months of free Home Assistant Cloud access with each Home Assistant Green hardware purchase?

That could be a way to both onboard more new users to start using Home Assistant Cloud and also in a way make up for recent huge price hikes of the Home Assistant Green hardware so that is will still feel like good value for the price buyers need to pay for it these days. I am thinking that 6-months + the standard 1-month trial should give newcomers more time to see the benefits of Home Assistant Cloud.

Maybe begin slipping in an informative pamphlet or brochure with a unique coupon code to redeem 6-months of free Home Assistant Cloud access with every newly manufactured Home Assistant Green hardware.

Directly related idea to that would be to also include a coupon for 60-days of Home Assistant Cloud access with the Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition, Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2, Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2, and future hardware as well. That way you could potentially hook more users who does not buy the Home Assistant Green.

Perhaps even raise the standard trial from 31-days to 60-days or 90-days too as the new standard since a single month is not really time enough to see all benefits? Then after a longer trial ends there might be a larger chance to retain the users who signed on.

@Hedda, thanks for the comment. Nabu Casa is definitely looking into all this, and are doing upgrades to our systems now that should help us do cool new things with Cloud trials.
