Warm start

Hi guys!

How would you recommend I go about warmstarting an Aviary optimization? The only change between optimizations is mission:design:range in my csv and few mission bounds in phase_info that I parameterized based on range.

I'm looking at warmstarting from a converged optimization, but also warmstarting from OpenMDAO's find_feasible.

Hey Ed!

I don't have a lot of personal experience using those OM features, but they should be compatible with Aviary, since it's still just a giant OM model. I'd expect you can still call find_feasible on an AviaryProblem before running the full optimization, let us know if that doesn't work for whatever reason!

For starting from a previous optimization, you can use the restart_filename argument, which Aviary will directly pass to OM. The file you need to give it is the case recorder file, which for Aviary is typically called problem_history.db and placed in the top level of that model's output folder (outside of "reports").

For level1, restart_filename is part of the run_aviary() call. In level2, it is an argument to prob.run_aviary_problem().
