Please can you help me understand why it's (presumably) not possible to curate this information using a gene_for_gene_interaction annotation extension? Would it help if the infective_ability annotation extension were available on gene-for-gene phenotypes?

Yes, "Topas DH16516 cultivar is susceptible to AvrLm1+ pathogen strain" and "Rlm1+, Rlm3+" are part of the comment that would be useful to describe the cultivar.

At the moment, there are two problems. The first one is that PHI-base 5 doesn't seem to display this kind of interaction (with pathogen gene, without the host gene, only the host cultivar). We probably need to resolve this before everything else.

I've looked at that gene page and you're right that the display has gone totally wrong.

Many gene-for-gene phenotypes are missing a host species, let alone the cultivar:

And another annotation seems to have merged two hosts into one interaction.

This is being caused by either the upload tool or the website since there are no problems that I can see in the export file from my pipeline.

I've added this to the list of known problems.
