Ebmused GTK port

Hi, I've been working on recreating the ebmused GUI using GTK in order to get rid of the need for the windows system library. The reason for me doing this being that I myself don't use windows and I'd like to be able to port this to my operating system. I haven't finished, I'm about 50% done, I haven't uploaded any of it to github yet. The question I have is, as this is a full rewrite of the whole frontend and parts of the backend should I aim for this to be submitted as a pull request or should I maintain this as a seperate project?

Hi! It's cool that you're doing this!

I'm definitely interested in seeing EBMusEd's code being more cross-platform, personally. (Even if it does reportedly work okay in Wine...) But, obviously there's a lot that would have to go into that, and a lot of questions about how exactly you're implementing everything (GTK in addition to Win32? GTK being used for all platforms, replacing Win32? How does mixing and playing audio work in GTK?).

It would probably be easier to get all the details straight on an chat platform like that, instead of an issue tracker where everything is longer-form like email.
