\subfile not \inluce

Hi

is there any possibility to replace (or add) 
```
\input{contex}
```
by 
```
\subfile{contex.tex}
```
**Rationale**
that would allow to compile/check for latex syntax errors content.tex directly.
Modern latex editor such as Emacs+AucTeX make latex error tracking relatively easy, but of course 
the file itself must be compiled directly.
