NextDNS is ignoring the commented lines and blocking all of them!

Its either NextDNS is ignoring the commented lines or NextDNS list is outdated causing TVs to break.

what does the nextdns docs tells u about "language" used and comments in blocklists? which listtypes are supported?

I have no idea all information I got is the link to this github page and the name of the blocklist which is Smart TV. So I click the github page and look at the Smart TVs blocklist I found that the comment out lines in Samsung TVs are getting block by NextDNS so I had to put them in the allowlist one by one and things started working.

then NextDNS simply "speaks" not the same language as the PiHole-Blocklist. thats simply it. since comments are allowed (also usefull imho ) for PiHole, this will not be changed. sorry.
you are more lucky to speak to the nextdns guys to change their behaviour to allow # comments in blocklists.

"#" are very common comment symbols in the *nix world so i think they do it wrong

Alright based on Gemini NextDNS uses Go entirely while pihole is mixed of C and Bash thats probly why. Thanks for your help, I'll just keep em on the allowlist.

its not so much of which type of coding language is used but more of what type of blocklists do you support.

e.g. adguard does support pihole style blocklists....and many others.
