Bug: Photo capture stuck buffering when sample ID input with QR code

When a sample ID is typed in with the keyboard, the app works as expected. However, when a QR code is used to input the sample ID, the orange camera shutter button does not take a photo. Instead, a spinning wheel (buffer) appears for 30+ seconds. Example sample ID encoded by QR code: "BB2301_101".

Workaround:

1. Scan the sample ID barcode.
2. Press the blue camera icon on the bottom menu
3. Press the orange camera shutter button.
   This allows the image to be taken with the barcode sample ID input at step 1.
