Keyboard is not visible, input is buggy

After locking the screen and entering the "v" gesture, the input field appears but the keyboard isn't visible. Clicking once or twice on the field doesn't help. Clicking and holding usually opens the keyboard. However, I sometimes need to repeat this several times until it finally works.
Using SwiftKey, I cannot enter the PIN. It works for the password, though. The Samsung keyboard works for both, but it's buggy (backspace key doesn't always react etc.)
The combination of SwiftKey + PIN also disables the emergency unlock, so I need to restart my phone.

My specs:

• Samsung Galaxy S3
• Android 4.3
• SwiftKey keyboard / Samsung keyboard
• Default lock screen disabled
