[Maybe a Bug]: PPTB suddenly opened my PTV release page

What happened?

Background

I just started PPTB.
It wanted to be updated.
Accepted and updated 1.2.1.
Directed to my page.

Step by step

Unsure exactly when the weird link it opened, but I did:
Clicked on the Connections icon (to add a new connection).
PPTB wants website access.
At the same time (maybe?) it automatically opened a website page - which is https://jonasr.app/ptv/releases/#1.2026.01.001
It might have been opened by starting PPTB v1.2.1 for the first time, or related to the Connection request.

My assumption

I just assume someone has done some copy-paste from my code, and forgot to change the URL to be dynamic and for PPTB :)

How certain are you that you didn’t have that tab open already in your browser, and the connection window just used a window you maybe forgot about?

As for the “copy pasting my code” - I’ll look through the repo, but I have made several connections and have never experienced this. The connection opens a new tab > auths > then usually closes it. Sometimes it doesn’t, but if it does, the browser may focus another tab.

my most common experience is in the window it used for auth, it flips to the top tab in that window when it closes

Few things

• when authenticating it does open a new browser or bring an existing browser in front then starts a new tab and automatically closes that tab. If existing instance of a browser exists then that is what you may have experienced.
• add or connect connection will never show the modal that is on the bug so if it did I’ll have to know how did that happen
• that modal is only when you open a tool which needs extra permissions

Oh... It's probably what you guessed, that the tab was already there, and the tab opened by PPTB is quickly closed, which I didn't focus on...
I can't guarantee now, but I believe that's that.
