My userID has been denied permission to push my committed changes to the firstGit file

At the command prompt, after entering the Push command, i received a pop-up prompt to enter my Git Username and password. After i supplied the information, i saw 2 messages on the command line

1. remote: Permission to [local Folder Name] denied to [Myusername]
2. fatal: unable to access [local filepath]: the requested url returned error: 403

Please help!
