if i were to idk like load questcraft from my pc instead of from sidequest that i downloaded on the headset would that stop the crashes? idk if everyone else is getting these crashes

What crashes? If you're going to complain about crashes, at least specify what is causing the crash, even if it's just a guess.
Also, you can't run Questcraft on your PC; I think you mean Vivecraft.

Edit: If you mean loading the Questcraft APK onto your headset from PC, oops. I can barely read correctly. But even then I doubt much would change since it should be the same version of the QC app you downloaded

yeah idk i just got questcraft like the other day and every five minutes it always crashes, i tried uninstalling mods and stuff nothing has worked and i more meant like if i got it using developer mode which i didnt do

I don't understand how you could install apps without enabling Developer Mode, so I'm skeptical. If you installed an APK directly in the headset (With developer mode), that makes sense. However, the way you phrased it makes me think you might not have completed the steps to activate Developer Mode on your Quest. Yet, you were able to install QuestCraft, which, by design, is not easy—I'd even say it's nearly impossible. If this is just a misphrasing feel free to let me know.

One more thing: If this problem appears to be a result of a bug in QC you should go to The actual QuestCraft Repository and report it there. However, given the new information, I doubt it.

Oh, and also, I'm not a developer nor contributor, just wanna be transparent about that.

I don't trust the tutorial at all.

I advise checking the installation instructions on the QuestCraft Repository and the SideQuest Website. Things change, and video tutorials can become outdated. This is your best option.

You will need a developer account and, according to SideQuest's website, a device to connect your headset. You should have a phone since you need to sign in using it when setting up your Quest. So, use that.

When you reinstall SideQuest correctly and then reinstall QuestCraft, test to see if you are still encountering the same issues. Then we can rule out "The tutorial you followed was bad" as a cause.
