Tooltips get cut off when horizontal scrollbar is present

When a code snippet is too long, it places a horizontal scrollbar. This scrollbar cuts off some of the text.

Side note: I have plenty of space. I don't know why it's even truncating it to begin with

the width is capped at half screen width or 600px(scaled), whichever is lower

regarding the cut-off: unfortunately I couldn't get the layout manager to resize things very well when scrolling is necessary
I think it will require a custom layout manager to solve the cut-off
