Local API Troubleshoot

Hey there,

i managed to configure the whois server and i am able to pose queries using telnet localhost [port].
Unfortunately, the api is not working. It does not matter what i enter, i will always get 503 Service Unavailable.
Hence it poses the question, whether further configurations are needed, which are not documented in the installation guidelines.
Also my basepath is not /whois
but /app/whois
should this pose a problem?
