unable to specify dimensions to scan on windows

Hello. This is a probably a very basic question.

Has anyone been able to get Region Scanner to work on windows 11? I download the x86_64 executable, but I can not get it to specify which dimension to scan (with the --dims option). I have tried specifying minecraft:overworld as:

--dims minecraft:overworld
--dims 'minecraft:overworld'
--dims "minecraft:overworld"

but none of them work.

I don't have a Windows 11 computer to test on but I don't know of any reason why a CLI app would work differently there. All three ways you mentioned should be equivalent, I think. What do you mean by "none of them work" - what happens when you try?
EDIT: Ideally, please post the entire command you're using, and the output you get.

Thank you for the reply. Here is my windows batch file:

.\region_scanner.exe --path="C:\Users\dpeis\Documents\Minecraft\Chosen's Create Integrated\1.2.8" --dims 'minecraft:overworld'
pause

and here is the output. I get the same error on --dims not provided with all of the above options.

Hmm, I can't replicate this exact problem, but I suspect it's an escaping issue with the previous argument, --path, especially since there's a single quote in it. Try

.\region_scanner.exe --path "C:\Users\dpeis\Documents\Minecraft\Chosen's Create Integrated\1.2.8" --dims minecraft:overworld
pause

(Incidentally, single quotes are apparently treated as literal in cmd so --dims 'minecraft:overworld' would fail complaining there's no dimension with name 'minecraft:overworld', but that's not the error you're getting.)

If that doesn't work, maybe also try swapping the order of arguments to put --dims minecraft:overworld before --path, and perhaps copying/symlinking the world to a path which doesn't have any quotes in the name.
