The LDDs of which RMS is steward currently do not have documentation, making them more difficult for users to make sense of. The Voyager LDD is a manageable place to start with creating documentation, since it is smaller than the Rings LDD.
We should create documentation for these LDDs using the LDD User Guide Tool (UGT). From an email with Ethan Schaefer, (formerly) of GEO:
"UGT can generate a detailed User Guide (user_guide.md) for a NASA PDS Discipline or Mission Data Dictionary. The primary inputs include the link to the dictionary’s *_IngestLDD.xml file on GitHub and example label files. UGT runs on Windows, but the system requirements are low, so it can easily run in a small virtual environment. This packaged zip file includes the executable application, PDF instructions and requirements, an example output user guide, and a checksum list for the include files."
