Did this project borrow from Claude Code's source code, or was it entirely designed by the author? I'm currently looking for a Python project that references Claude Code's source code.

CheetahClaws is inspired by Claude Code's design philosophy, but is an independent Python implementation, not a fork or copy of Claude Code's source code. Here's the relationship:

What was learned from Claude Code:

• The memory taxonomy (user/feedback/project/reference types) mirrors Claude Code's design
• Core concepts like tool permission gates (auto/ask/never), context compaction, CLAUDE.md injection, and multi-turn agent loop with streaming are conceptually similar
• Some modules explicitly cite inspiration, e.g., modular/voice/keyterms.py notes "Inspired by Claude Code's voiceKeyterms.ts"
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration follows the same protocol Claude Code uses

What is original / not from Claude Code:

• Entirely rewritten in Python, not TypeScript
• Multi-provider support (Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, Ollama, etc.) vs Claude Code's Anthropic-only
• Telegram / WeChat / Slack bridges
• Trading module with multi-agent analysis (Bull/Bear debate)
• Plugin ecosystem, video generation
• Brainstorm mode, SSJ workflow, autonomous agent templates

In short, CheetahClaws studied Claude Code's architecture as a reference and adopted several of its design patterns, but the codebase is written from scratch in Python with significant original features. If you're looking for a Python project that references Claude Code's design, this is a good match.
