Terms of Service

Key points: You must be 17 or older to use SafeScribe. Your transcripts belong to you. Audio is never stored on our servers after processing. Payments go through Apple or Google — we never see your payment details.

Section 1

Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using SafeScribe ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Section 2

Service Description

SafeScribe is a privacy-first AI-powered audio transcription service. You record or import audio on your device, which is then processed on our servers to produce a text transcript.

  • ✓ Audio is processed in server memory only never stored on disk
  • ✓ Transcripts are delivered to your device and encrypted locally
  • ✓ You pay for transcription minutes via in-app purchase credits

Section 3

Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use SafeScribe. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Section 5

Credits and Payments

  • ✓ SafeScribe uses a credit-based system — purchase credits via Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • ✓ All payments are processed by Apple or Google — we never receive or store your payment information
  • ✓ New accounts receive a one-time free credit balance
  • ✓ Credit prices and minute allocations are displayed in the App before purchase

Credits are non-transferable between accounts. Refunds are subject to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies.

Section 6

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • ✗ Use the App for any illegal purpose or to transcribe content that violates applicable law
  • ✗ Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • ✗ Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks
  • ✗ Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
  • ✗ Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers)
  • ✗ Impersonate another person or entity
  • ✗ Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights of others

Section 7

Audio Content

You are solely responsible for the content you record or upload. This means:

  • ✓ You must have the legal right to record and transcribe any audio you submit
  • ✓ You are responsible for complying with recording consent laws in your jurisdiction (one-party or two-party consent)
  • ✓ We do not monitor, review, or store your audio content

Intellectual Property

SafeScribe IP Original content, features, and functionality are owned by SafeScribe and protected by copyright
Your transcripts Belong to you — we claim no ownership over content you create
Trademarks "SafeScribe" name, logo, and branding are our trademarks

Section 9

Privacy

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Key privacy points: Audio is processed in RAM only and immediately deleted · Transcripts are encrypted on your device · We keep only pseudonymous billing records · We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing

Section 10

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. If we permanently discontinue the service, unused credits will be refunded according to platform policies.

Section 11

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that transcriptions will be 100% accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the App will meet your specific requirements. Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, language, accents, background noise, and other factors beyond our control.

Section 12

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeScribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Section 13

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SafeScribe from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights including recording consent laws.

Termination

Action Result
You delete your account All local data erased, server-side data deleted

You stop using the App No further action required — data already minimal

Section 15

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Section 16

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
