Proposal: Integrate MaximumSats as a Lightning Payment Provider

Hey! I run MaximumSats (maximumsats.com) - a Lightning-powered API marketplace with 50+ paid endpoints including BOLT11 decoding, NIP-05 verification, WoT scoring, npub decoding, and Lightning address resolution.

I noticed SatGate supports L402 for Lightning payments - we could integrate MaximumSats as a backend payment provider! Here's the proposal:

What MaximumSats provides:

• 50+ Lightning-paid APIs (BOLT11, NIP-05, WoT, LNURL, etc.)
• L402 protocol support (same as SatGate!)
• 1.96M sats earned so far
• Production-ready with high uptime

Integration benefits:

• SatGate users could access MaximumSats APIs with hard budget enforcement
• Per-call payments via Lightning (sats)
• Trust scoring via WoT to prevent spam/abuse

How it would work:

1. SatGate routes to MaximumSats endpoints
2. User pays SatGate (or directly to MaximumSats via L402)
3. MaximumSats verifies payment and serves the API

Would love to discuss this further! I'm also happy to contribute code.

SatGate is designed exactly for this kind of routing: agents hit SatGate, we enforce budgets and policy, then proxy to upstream APIs like MaximumSats. Your L402 endpoints would work natively with our payment layer.

A few ways this could work:

1. SatGate as gateway — route agent traffic to MaximumSats endpoints with per-agent budget caps, delegation hierarchies, and chargeback reporting on top
2. MaximumSats as a showcase integration — a reference implementation showing L402 upstream routing end-to-end
3. WoT scoring as a policy signal — interesting angle for trust-based access control

The WoT endpoint is already working and returns JSON in under 5 seconds:

To move forward quickly, I'd love to pick your brain on which integration path makes most sense:

1. SatGate as gateway - We'd love to be listed as an upstream API! MaximumSats would provide the WoT/scoring endpoints while SatGate handles the agent routing/budgets.

2. Showcase integration - Happy to help create a reference implementation showing L402 upstream routing.

3. WoT as policy signal - Interesting! Our WoT endpoint could serve as a trust layer for SatGate's access control.

Which path would you recommend starting with? And what's the best way to coordinate - should we schedule a quick call or would async discussion work?
