[Bug]: Infinite saving screen and bugged scan dialog on the service truck

Description

I'm experiencing a bug where, when I buy a vehicle found by an agent, after saving the game it gets stuck in an infinite loop and I have to force close the game. The other issue is that when I try to scan a vehicle from the service truck, a blank window opens and I can't close it.

Well thats an ugly experience you've had here. Sorry for that! I appreciate you sharing your log. I'll have a look in a little bit and see what I can do about getting an updated version of code sent over to you to try.

Hey @Baatdemon — sorry for the delayed reply here. We actually tackled both issues you reported across two rounds of fixes, but forgot to circle back and let you know. Our apologies!

What we found and fixed

1. Infinite saving screen (primary bug)

The Service Truck's savegame schema was misconfigured in three ways:

• Schema registration path was wrong (serviceTruck#isRestoring instead of the full FS25_UsedPlus.ServiceTruck.isRestoring path the game expects)
• Using attribute notation (#key) instead of child element notation (.key), which failed XML validation
• The saveToXMLFile event listener was never registered — so every save attempt triggered a validation failure that locked the game in an infinite loop

All three are fixed.

2. Service Truck scan dialog (blank/stuck window)

We identified and fixed a stream protocol asymmetry in the multiplayer sync code — onWriteStream wasn't always writing the same number of values that onReadStream expected. We also fixed an R-key soft-lock where pausing a restoration destroyed the restoration data, which could leave the dialog in a broken state.

3. Additional hardening

• Division-by-zero guard in progress calculations
• Nil guards on getName() calls
• Missing credit event types and statistics fields that were generating warnings

You reported this on v2.15.1.15 — the fixes landed after that version. Please grab v2.15.1.18 and give it a try. Specifically:

1. Buy a vehicle through the agent, then save — does it complete normally?
2. Use the Service Truck scanner — does the dialog open and close properly?
3. Check if the workshop works for all your vehicles
