[Bug]: Mod doesn't show up to use

Description

Love the mod!! But I've downloaded every version of the mod on here from GitHub and can't get any of them to work so if I'm on the main home page of FS25 in the downloaded mods folder I can see the Used Plus mod but then when I go to create a map or start existing save file and look through the mods to activate it's not there!! Am I doing something wrong? How I have been doing it is downloading the Zip file then going to documents then my games then FS25 then to the mods folder and uploading it to there and then starting up the game. I have a lot of mods, but everything worked until I tried to update to newest version after finding you on here the other version, I had was v2.14.1 from FS25.Net

Hey @607Fool! Thank you for the kind words, and sorry you're having trouble getting the mod to load.

Most likely cause

If you downloaded using the green "Code" button on GitHub, you got the raw source code -- not a built mod. FS25 won't recognize it because it contains development files (src/, tools/, translations/) that need to be compiled into a proper mod zip first.

How to fix

Download the pre-built zip from our Releases page instead:

v2.15.4.98 Pre-Release

1. Click FS25_UsedPlus.zip under "Assets" to download
2. Place the zip file directly into your Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/mods/ folder (do NOT extract it)
3. Remove any older versions of UsedPlus from the mods folder first
4. Start the game -- the mod should appear in the mod selection screen

Your 717 mods shouldn't be a problem -- FS25 handles 1500+ mods without issue, so mod count isn't the cause here.

If it still doesn't show up

1. Check your game log at Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2025/log.txt
2. Search for "UsedPlus" -- if the game sees the mod at all, it will be mentioned there
3. If you can share the relevant lines from your log, we can diagnose exactly what's happening

still not fixed every time I try to use mod it still doesn't show up, I opened the log.txt and it says this -Error: Invalid mod name 'FS25_UsedPlus-2.15.4.22' Characters allowed: (_, A-Z, a-z, 0-9). The first character must not be a digit

2.15.4.22 is an old version. Perhaps you should look for EITHER a zip or a directory and delete both and then follow the instructions in my previous message to download FS25_UsedPlus.zip which should show as 2.15.4.97 or 2.15.4.98 in your logs. You should only have the one .zip in your mods folder for FS25_UsedPlus.zip
