Ability to render from a path input through command line

Given a series of paths, I would like to render the screen-shots. Is there any way to do this outside of the GUI? The important thing is that the paths are not hard-coded and they can be taken as an input.

You can render a series of of paths by providing an appropriate array of commands as strings in the config file for the viewer. See the example at the end of https://github.com/ShapeNet/shapenet-viewer/blob/master/config/batch-render-example.conf .
The load commands can refer to a local filesystem location (i.e. load model <filepath>).
