Creating a new website

  • Today we'll be learning on how to build a website and also how to make it look professional.

Who and What is the website for?

  • When making a website it is IMPORTANT to understand who you are making a website for.
  • It can also be helpful to ask questions about the people you'd expect to have interest in your site.

Target Audience

Individuals

  • Questions you should keep in mind on Individuals.
- What is the age range of your target audience?
- Will you site appeal to more women or men? Or both?
- Which country do your visitors live in?

Companies

  • Questions to think about for Companies.
- What is the size of the company or relevant department?
- What is the position of people in the company who visit your site?
- Will visitors be using the site for themselves or for someone else?

There could be a lot of questions to ask yourself to make sure your website has the right fit.

Why should people visit your website?

  • So lets say you know who you're visitors are. Now you need to know why they are visiting your website.
  • Your content and design should be influenced by the goals of your users.
