Canadian Postal Codes Inconsistent #211
Description
A client pointed out that some Canadian MLSes provide Postal Codes in an inconsistent (and incorrect) format.
The correct format is 3 characters, a space, and 3 additional characters
L6A 1P9
M5V 4A9
However, MLSes may provide the listings with a postalcode with/without the space
L6A 1P9
L6A1P9
M5V 4A9
M5V4A9
When searching on any of the search forms, there's no way for the user to easily search both at the same time, without in some way notifying them to try both. Failing to search both results in missing listings.
Ideally, the MLS would have validation on the entry field and not accept or correct the improper entry, but some seem not to.
