I had an imported GCODE file that started running at 100% speed. I wanted to manually slow it down on the machine, as the engraving was too light. While turning down the work speed on the display, I accidentally set it to 0%. This caused one or more of the linear actuators to start grinding (make a loud noise). After quickly setting the work speed to something above 0% again it turned out that at least the y-axis was misaligned and the machine continued the engraving offset to the start of the job.
It didn't seem to damage the actuator, but the noise was definitely very unusual.
Expected result:
Either pause the work and turn off the laser (burning on the spot seems dangerous to me) or prevent the user from setting the work speed to 0%.
